Iprenburg Spine Clinic is run by orthopedic surgeon Menno Iprenburg, whose career has been constantly marked by innovation.
In 1986, Dr. Iprenburg was one of the first surgeons to perform a laparoscopic hernia operation, and in 2000 he became a pioneer in the field that is now known as micro-endoscopic discectomy.
Since 2004, Dr. Iprenburg has exclusively focused on what currently is the most innovative spinal hernia surgical technique: the operation of a spinal hernia using an endoscope and making a small incision on the side of the body under local anesthesia and on an outpatient basis. This procedures is called TESSYS (transforaminal endoscopic surgical system). Dr. Iprenburg is by far the most experienced TESSYS surgeon in The Netherlands.
Dr. Iprenburg is supported by a dedicated and experienced surgical team, which is comprised of an anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetists, surgical assistants, and radiographers.
