Wat is de Zwetslootgroep? Hoe kan ik me aansluiten?

Een groep patiënten, onder leiding van Hans Zwetsloot, is in actie gekomen om de operatietechniek volgens de PTED techniek vergoed te krijgen door alle zorgverzekeraars.

Zwetsloot probeert er bij het Zorginstituut Nederland (voorheen College voor Zorgverzekeringen) achter te komen waarom deze techniek nog steeds niet vergoed wordt. Zorginstituut Nederland bepaalt jaarlijks welke operaties in het basispakket voor zorgverzekeringen opgenomen worden. De PTED techniek wordt als innovatief en belovend gezien maar hoort nog steeds niet tot het (voorwaardelijke) pakket. De expertise van dr. Iprenburg wordt inmiddels erkend door de bestuursvoorzitter van Zorginstituut Nederland maar ze kunnen volgens Zwetsloot niet uitleggen waarom andere endoscopische technieken wel worden vergoed en de PTED techniek niet. Hij is na het besluit vervolgens naar de Nationale Ombudsman(NO) en de Stichting Klachten en Geschillen Zorgverzekeringen (SKGZ) gestapt, waar hij gelijk heeft gekregen. De heer Zwetsloot heeft het niet vergoeden van de PTED techniek ook met succes aangekaart bij Tros Radar.
