Heb ik pijn tijdens de hernia operatie?

Voorafgaand aan de hernia operatie wordt uw huid verdoofd en krijgt u pijnstilling via een infuus. Dit wordt ook wel analgo-sedatie genoemd. Door deze vorm van verdoven voelt u vrijwel geen pijn.

Wel kunt u een lichte pijn voelen wanneer er tijdens de operatie een stukje botvlies van het bot wordt verwijderd. Dit duurt maar even en is heel normaal; u hoeft zich dus geen zorgen te maken. Onze chirurg zal tijdens de operatie ook vooraf aangeven dat deze lichte pijn kan ontstaan. Indien noodzakelijk kan de verdoving iets worden verhoogd, zodat de pijn snel afzwakt.

De toegepaste verdoving is zeer veilig. Bovendien wordt u tijdens de operatie nauwlettend in de gaten gehouden door ons zeer ervaren team van anesthesisten. De medicatie is na de operatie zeer snel uit uw bloed verdwenen, waardoor u zelfs binnen twee uur na de operatie alweer naar huis kunt! De door Iprenburg Herniakliniek toegepaste vorm van opereren is, in tegenstelling tot de traditionele operatie in een ziekenhuis, ook vrijwel niet belastend voor uw lichaam. Sterker nog, de meeste van onze patiënten zeggen na de ingreep dat ze een bezoek aan de tandarts erger vinden!
